Sophie Turner arrives at the premiere of Netflix's "Do Revenge" at the Vine TUDUM Theater in Los Angeles, California, Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
Robert Draws – The world of celebrity romance is often full of surprises, but few rumors have generated as much buzz as the latest one: actress Sophie Turner and rock legend Chris Martin are reportedly a new item. News of Sophie Turner Chris Martin Dating has been spreading rapidly across London, where the two have allegedly been spending time together. A source recently confirmed to Us Weekly that the stars have gone on multiple dates. “It’s still very new, but they have strong chemistry already,” the source revealed, signaling the start of an unexpected but intriguing romantic development.
What makes this pairing particularly fascinating is the long-standing admiration Turner has for Martin. The Game of Thrones alum has openly expressed her fandom for the Coldplay frontman and his music over the years. It was even said that she once jokingly admitted to having a crush on him.
“It’s so funny and kind of a dream that they’re actually having a romantic relationship in real life,” the insider shared.
Their initial meeting was reportedly a chance encounter last year. Given Turner’s connection to the music world through her ex-husband, Joe Jonas, and Martin’s iconic status, it’s not surprising that they share mutual friends who may have helped facilitate the connection.
While their relationship is still in its nascent stages, the source attributes the strong bond to the significant similarities they share. These common threads suggest that their chemistry goes deeper than just a casual fling. Firstly, they both possess deep roots in England. This shared nationality provides common cultural ground and similar experiences, which often helps in building a comfortable relationship. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, they are bound by a mutual appreciation for music a world Martin dominates and one Turner has been intimately connected to. The source summarized the dynamic simply: “They have a lot in common, and Chris is definitely Sophie’s type.”

The timing of this rumored romance is significant, as both Martin and Turner are navigating new phases in their lives following recent high-profile splits. Chris Martin recently ended his nearly eight-year relationship with actress Dakota Johnson in July. Likewise, Sophie Turner is moving forward after a brief romance with British aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, which followed her highly publicized divorce from Joe Jonas in September 2024. As both stars embark on fresh starts, the pairing of the British rocker and the beloved actress is quickly becoming the most talked-about story in showbiz. Fans and media alike will be watching closely to see how this exciting new chapter for Sophie Turner Chris Martin Dating unfolds.
